Presidential 2017: BJP forms three-member panel to consult political parties

New Delhi: Ahead of the Presidential Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday shaped a three-member panel to hold conferences with political parties - including the resistance - over a conceivable agreement competitor.

BJP chief Amit Shah told a question and answer session that Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu are entrusted with the obligation.

"The panel's command is to counsel pioneers of all political parties for the presidential survey and attempt to develop an agreement," a BJP explanation said.

The last date for recording assignments for the survey is June 28.

The Presidential Election will be hung on July 17. President Pranab Mukherjee`s term closes on July 24.
